|The Eversley Leisure Centre in Pitsea is opening its doors this October for a special Gym Express open day.|
Following the success of Gym Express and the 11-15’s Gym Express project that ran throughout the Summer, the Council run leisure centre is now inviting families to visit the Centre’s open day on the 16 October.
Centre manager Sean Beagle said: “There will be a range of different activities available throughout the day and we are inviting residents to come down and see how the whole family can get fit and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.”
Visitors to the centre will have the opportunity to sign up to the Gym Express scheme, the recession friendly gym scheme which has proved a big hit with local residents. Younger visitors will also be able to use the facilities with the Centre announcing the extension of the 11-15 Gym Express due to popular demand.
Also being launched on the day will be two brand new classes. BodyBalance is a Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates work out that builds flexibility and strength and leaves participants feeling centred and calm while the up beat and powerful Bodypump is an original barbell class that strengthens and tones the entire body
Cllr Kevin Blake, Cabinet Member for Arts and Leisure said: “This is a great opportunity to come out and see what a great facility the Eversley Centre is. The Gym Express scheme is a great way of getting fit without spending a fortune on gym membership and with the introduction of two new classes there really is something for everyone.”
