What is Crunch?
Weekends are a great time for spring cleaning, parties and working in the garden, unfortunately while the house and garden might look great, the pile of rubbish in the corner might be a lot bigger than normal!
This is when the Council run Crunch service might come in handy!
Crunch is basically a mobile tip. Available most Saturdays between 09:00am and 12:00pm it moves to a different location each time it goes out into the District. At many locations there are separate vehicles for all your garden refuse.
As with the normal weekly refuse collection we ask that you wrap up all sharp objects such as broken glass, needles and bits of metal before putting them in your refuse sacks.
Obviously these precautions are taken so that there is less risk of injury to our refuse teams but also help prevent the need to prosecute residents should we find any unwrapped objects.
