BASILDON Council has been praised for its website.
SOCITM (Society of Information Technology Managers) inspect every council website yearly to check how well they are meeting current challenges.
They have a 4* rating system and Basildon Council has consistently been awarded 3* for a number of years. This year the company have given special recognition to all of their 3* and 4* local authorities.
The council has been praised on areas of the website such as ‘Find Rubbish Collection Days’, job applications and payments.
Andrew Pickess, Basildon Council’s business development manager, said: "It is great the council is being acknowledged for all the hard work put into the website and the customer service we provide for our residents.
"Basildon Council continually strive to improve customer services and keeping the website up to date and user friendly is an example of this work.” |
